How it Works
Pilot Guided Jack & Bore is a trenchless method designed for precise underground pipe installations, particularly in areas where accuracy is critical. The process begins by drilling a pilot hole using a guided boring machine. This machine uses advanced tracking systems to ensure the bore path is accurately aligned with the project specifications, avoiding existing utilities and obstacles.
Once the pilot hole is complete, the next phase involves attaching and pushing a casing or pipe into the borehole using hydraulic jacks. As the casing progresses, the soil is removed from the inside of the pipe, typically with an auger. This simultaneous process of boring and pipe installation ensures stability and efficiency, even in challenging soil conditions.
Pilot Guided Jack & Bore is ideal for projects requiring precision, such as installing larger-diameter pipes or working in restricted spaces. It provides a reliable and cost-effective solution with minimal surface disruption, making it a popular choice for modern infrastructure development.
